I think you're misunderstanding the parent-child affiliate relation.

this is for the case when an affiliate sets up an account as affiliate, and he was coming from another affiliate link.
this way, this AFFILIATE is the son of the first AFFILIATE.

what you're describing is normal, non-multilevel affiliation. just a user buying some stuff from an affiliate link.

user 1 give there link for user 2. user 2 have a registration in joomla and automatic registred in affiliate program (by your plagin). But the system don't show that user 2 is a child for user 1. And if he buy something - user 1 have a commission from this sale.

I try to do manual parent in back and. and i see that the user 2 is child for user 1.
After that user 2 give his link for other people. And new user registered in joomla and in affiliate program automatic. and I see a conversation in user 2 about new joomla user. but in affiliate system new user don't have a parent.

Any case. When I do a manual child and parent, when user 3 buy something - nobody take a commission.
Is it wright or I don't understand it?
