Affiliate logs... I'm worried Issue

Hello,
I have yet to open my affiliate program to the public, but I am a bit worried about traffic logs.
There is no option to automatically purge the logs after a certain time, so I think lots and lots of data will accumulate when I open the affiliation to my 5.000+ users... what happens if I don't delete the logs manually from time to time (which is a time-consuming task)?
All this data will affect much the db size? (I have no idea really)

Actually I am not even interested in logging all those data for each visit and showing it to the users, I would just need to show them the total amount of visits coming from their affiliate links.

Is there any solution you could suggest to avoid this kind of issue with the logs?

Thank you

it will grow, but probably not so heavily unless every affiliate (5000) i sending you a lot of traffic really. And the DB won't grow much in terms of size as the entries are very small

there's no automatic data purge, sorry. If you need this, this would require additional custom coding work (our team can be hired to develop this for you)

Well, I'd need first to understand what this means in term of database load, will the database grow very heavy if the logs are never being purged? Or the amount of data is not really going to change much the db size?

    Thank you
