I still can't upload consistently. I have been able to upload if I use a very short name in the name box and it works some of the time.

again, as you can see, this is NOT a MC problem.
I'm really sorry that you have this problem, nad I'm thinking on what may be causing it. but it's definitely not Music Collection!
as you, yourself, said, it was working perfectly good before! somethin gmust have changed on your computer, but I don't know what can it be.
as you can understand, the software does not change it's way of working by itself!
have you thinked in uploading using FTP, and then create the albums with the Scan Folder function OR just write the filename to the songs?
