Hi Germi,

I saw in another post that someone was asking you if it's possible for users to download multiple tracks at once and you said there is a field in the backend that allows that. I found that field. You also said the field could be added in frontend too.

How can I do that?

And also, where can I edit the album form layout, in which file?. I would like to remove some fields such as "sub artists", subtitle, and some extended details's field.

thanks a lot.

    album form layout: /components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/form.php

hmm.. no, that field is only in the backend, and it's not for upload, it's only to WRITE the file path. do you know what I mean?

    Hi,

I think I know, if I upload through FTP that's where to find the file, right?

I was talking about what you said in this post

    http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/forum/pre-buy-questions/download-multiple-tracks.html#13259

you said "there is a field on the ALBUM so you can upload a whole ZIP file and users can download it."

"the field is available on the BACKEND form only, not frontend.
but can be added into the frontned too, not difficult!"

Is this the feature for users to download the entire zipped album?

    yes, correct.

this feature is just a "field", so, as you say, you can upload the file using FTP, and then just "point" to the file. but the file is NOT created automatically if that's what you're asking!

when I say "is not difficult to add it on the frontend" I mean that you can put the "text field" on the frontend, to be filled out by your users, but since they won't be uploading anything by FTP.. it does not make much sense unless they simply type an external LINK. do you know what I mean?

    Hi,

No that was not what I mean.

I just want to be able to have the whole album to be dowloaded at once. If I add the zip file in the backend as a part of the album, for example it would look like that in the frontend.

    Album

    1. Song X
    2. Song Y
    3. Song Z
    4. ALBUM.ZIP

So they would be able to download the whole album and separate songs if they want to.

And in the frontend ADD ALBUM/SONGS it would be possible when to ADD SONG put a .zip file there, which I know won't unzip by itself, it would be like one more song.

I don't know if I'm making myself clear...

ok.. so you mean you simply want to add the ZIP as one more song?
then... where is the problem? you can just put it that way and it will work! does it not?
