Hi we installed the Music collection and JWplayer. Everything is working great but when you click on a song to play, the box is black and one a little dotted circle goes around inside and the stops. The error is as follows. Task queue failed at step 5. Playlist can not be loaded due to crossdomain policy restrictions. I only have it on one domain. Please help

the "crossdomain" restriction happens if you are trying to stream a file from an external server that does NOT have a crossdomain.xml file on it.

are yoy trying to play a song located externaly?

First off, thank you for taking the time to reply. I love this Component and really want it to work.

    To answer your question,

I was not trying to connect outside of the domain. I have a folder where I uploaded a few MP3 to test. The play bar stays black, but after reading more on the error in general via google, I created a crossdomain.xml file in my root directory. Now it will allow the added play list player to work but not this bar above this selected mp3. At times the bar show up but when you click nothing happens.

A little background on my site.
Not knowing anything about joomla, When i stated this project, I created the site with our current HTML site in the main directory and the new joomla site in a "folder"

    www.xxxxxxx.org old HTML Site
    www.xxxxxxx.org/joomla new site

when I was happy with the new site, I could not figure out how to move it so I called "Godaddy" our hosting provider and they walked me through how to select the Joomla Folder as the new root. Now when you go to www.xxxxxxx.org the joomla site works. Im not sure what the procedure is that they walked me through. But everything works fine.
Also we have the SSL so have both http and https

My online research on this Crossdomain issue gave me the following code to create the crossdomain.xml file.

Could you give me some more ideas how to fix this. also Could you give me a better XML file coding please.

    Thank you once again.

    hello Rob,

well... maybe some configuration file did not get updated when you moved to the new server..

what is your real domain? (I mean, I guess it's not xxxxxxx.org...!! right?)

if you send me a link I'll check it out and see how we can solve it!

    Thank you.

Our Domain name is www.capitalcarillon.org we are a non profit music ensemble in Washington DC.

As for a new server, we are on the same server, just a different directory as the "root" before the hosting directory is / now it is /joomla. Our hosting provider changed the "root" . That was what my notes say.

    Thanks
    Rob

    1) it was setted as REGISTERED.. of course I couldnt see if before you send me the access..!!!!
    2) you had the HTML5 player set to YES on some options that are not recommended. I setted all as default, it's better like this.
    3) I could play the songs with no problem with those options! can you check? all three songs play just nice!

Unfortunately I've got the same problem:

I uploaded a video https://netzr.de/videos/6111/turboscrubber/ at netzr.de and it works.

Then I wanted to upload the videos at two networks.
At the first (linkedin.com) it works, however at the second (xprt.com) there is the error:
Task Queue Failed at step 5: Playlist could not be loaded due to crossdomain policy restrictions

I don't know why. Please help me.
