Hi Germinal - is it possible to get documentation updated at all? Much of the documentation still shows Jomla 1.5 and also the Muscol structures have changed - I have spent fruitless hours trying to get changes made without much success as there is little up to date documentation.

For example:

http://www.joomlathat.com/documentation/music-collection/customizing-mc-templates-and-layouts

and for example in the previous version of Muscol there was a path : /components/com_muscol/views/songs/...
in version 3.x there is no longer such a directory (only /views/song/...) which means that much of the documentation I do find is incorrect as it refers to files in the older version.

Much appreciated

    hello!

this file is indeed outdated. I will update it.

what are you looking for specifically? let me know and I'll point you to it.

some of the templates are now "Handlebars" templates, and have been moved to folder "templates" instead of "views". maybe this will help you...

    Germinal

I am trying to create different layouts for the Song screen - my new template makes use of SP page Builder so also thought perhaps I could design a really nice page using that for Songs but as not all functions are available in modules that's proving to be difficult. Also as I am not a PHP developer (although I can sort of read a php file and make changes that work) - I am struggling to customise - for example,. would like to move the YouTube display to the LEFT of the page rather than the right where it currently shows, and so on...

What would be great to know, is which files contains the layouts for: Album and Songs as a start. Also is there a "template layout" somewhere that shows which variables are in which position perhaps? Or is it just trial and error.. ;)

    Cheers
