Hi I got the Album Module to work, and now when I try to add images to an album it crashes and gives me a 500 internal error. When I add music only it works great. Any Suggestions? Thanks :)

I apologize for the delayed response, and I appreciate your help.

I'm using Joomla 3.1.5 with the latest version of JomSocial. It only happens with certain files. I can try two files, both JPEG, and one will not load. The other will just fine. Is there a list of recommended requirements for file types, like .wav or .mp3/sizes etc? This way I alert my users of what is they should upload.

Also, what is the best way to add validation to the forms in the component? It was pointed out to me that a user can enter any text they would like in the input boxes. My friend used 'asdfjlkI' in every box on the create song/album pages (including in the year) and the form sent through and created the items. I just want to make sure we can send an error when the wrong values are input into a specific box.

Thank you so much for your wonderful support! :)

    Hello,

maybe there's just an error in that particular file.. what version of Music Collection are you using?

about the validation: "asdfjkli" is a perfectly valid name for album or song... do you know what I mean? you cannot have a control over what the people inputs in these fields.. these are free fields for names.. the system does not know if it's a real song name or not..

I'm using the latest version, just downloaded a week or to ago. Maybe it is that file.

As far as the validation goes, it allows you to enter text strings in to the year, photo name, and other fields. I noticed it zeros out the fields that are for numbers (date, disc, number, etc.) on the song/album page when you type text there, but what if a person enters an injection string or other spam in the date or other text fields, will it still save to my server and cause problems?

I just want to let you know that I appreciate your hard work, and quick responses. This component is by far the best solution of it's kind.

    Thanks ;)

    thanks for your kind owrds!

there is field restriction, like the date can only be a date field, otherwise it will be filtered...
