Hi,

I browsed through the forum to look for an answer and I read hundreds of posts and I cannot solve my problem.

I am using MC 2.2.0 and the latest version o JWPlayer plugin and module.

My website is www.crowdmusik.com.

You will find the playlist in the menu "Crowd Música" and the player in almost every page.

Can you please help to get this working in the website? Thanks!

I had the same error on my site. I removed the JWplayer version 2.2.2 and replaced it with the version for 1.5 and it worked. Im not sure what version of MC your using but this may help you out!

I know it does not show when the playlist is empty. That is very nice! No more errors showing up on empty playlists :)

On mine, the flash player is not showing on non-MC pages when I have a song loaded in the playlist. The module block and title show, but no flash player. They only show up on the MC pages.

    Any ideas why?

it's not a bug. it's simply that the player is HIDDEN by the system if it's EMPTY. you'll see, if you add a song, it will be shown.
it's just CSS: if the playlist is empty, the system adds a "display:none" to the player to avoid showing an ugly empty player

    Germi,

Any idea why the flash part of the jw flash player module would only show up on MC specific pages, and not on non MC pages? Here is the address to my dev site: http://fatalclick.com/test/s/1-sample-artist

I just put it online so it can be viewed. It is just a test site where I test out new scripts and upgrades before I push them out to my live site, so it is typically offline. Please pardon the mess.

Getting the same problem here on my test site. Downloaded everything fresh from "Your Orders". I get the 500 error only when I have Search Engine Friendly URLs turned on in the global config without using the Use URL rewriting option.

If I have both turned off, it works. If I have both turned on, it works. If I only have search engine friendly urls turned on and url rewriting turned off, it does not work.

EDIT: I noticed that the player only loads in the module on the MC pages. On all other pages on my website that are not part of the MC Component, it shows just the module title, and the Show player in popup link. When I click on that link on the pages that do not show the player, it loads a 404 page with the url, www.mysite.com/undefined.

Hi sorry, was in a production environment, didnt have sef urls on, I do now... Doesnt work with either configuration.

I've moved it to a server accessible by ip, have sent you a pm.

Where abouts is the default url to xml ? perhaps a permission problem ?

step 5 is just the code of JW player for the error. it usually means "playlist" not found: in other words, the URL to the XML that feeds the player is not well constructed. this may happen for SEF reasons (although it SHOULDN'T!) that's why I asked access: with one quick look I can see where the problem is :)

is your SEF on? can you try to turn it off for a moment and see if the problem remains?

    Hi,

Sorry my sites just on a testing server at the moment, should be putting it onto a live server in the next few days, won't be hooked upto a domain until all problems are ironed out, But I'll P.M you with the IP when its live,

Please let us know in the mean time if you identify the cause of this issue, Perhaps its an issue with the 1.6 / 1.7 version available for download...

    What is step 5 ?

    regards

    Jon

steve, I believe it's a SEF issue in your case. does this happens if you turn SEF off?
