Music Not Loading

I am using Joomla 2.5.11 with the music collection component. This is actually an old issue that I still have not been able to correct. I want to add music to my collection, so I've created an artist, album, and have named and selected the audio file from my PC to upload (I have a maximum upload of 192Mb, and the audio files are less than that, uploaded one at a time). When I select it to save or save/close, the site is trying to connect, but after about a minute, I always get the error message on the page: The connection was reset. I have tried to restart the upload, refresh, ect. Nothing.

Any ideas?

    could it be the "max_execution_time"?
    what if you try to upload the file with FTP and then just point the filename to the song?

    ok, the ftp works when using the scan folder button. Now, I will want to keep adding tracks to this new album in the future, how do I go about doing that since I can only upload using the scan folder button.

    I mean, do I delete the tracks from the server once their a part of the album, then keep scanning folder for the new tracks to add?
