i used this documentation to customize the hompepage : http://www.joomlathat.com/documentation/music-collection/custom-homepage
I used the song module.
I only get a search box. Can you help me ?
I use Joomla 3.6.5 with Protostar template (Bootstrap v2.3.2). I set the Load Bootstrap option to Minimum version 3 and the Load Bootstrap 2 beautify one to YES.

I don't have the "Options" button in MC administration area (near "New" and "Delete").
