Invoice Manager Menu Issue

In the Invoice Manager screen, there are 2 menus on the left side (see picture attached). How can I hide or not display the long black one with the icons (labeled #2 in the attached picture).

no.. the changes could be overriden
well, if you only want to make CSS changes, then you can put them in your TEMPLATE css file and this way it would not get overriden...

in any case, the HTML/PHP code for this menu is in file /administrator/components/com_invoices/view/invoices/tmpl/default_menu.php

    hello

    there's just 1 left menu..

    the black icons will ALWAYS display. the "hamburguer" menu item is to hide or show this menu with the TITLES...

    Is there a way to edit the source code so that changes are not overwritten by updates?

    Where would I edit the source code to hide that side menu?
