Hi,

I am trying to add virtuemart shopper fields to the invoice? I have enabled the plugin, and set up the shopper fields in VM, however I am unsure as how to add this to the invoice?

I have the following:

Medical Aid Details:
Medical Aid: {medicalaid} Main Member: {first_name} {last_name}
Medical Aid Number: {medicalno} Main Member ID: {IDNumber}
Main Member D.O.B.: {dateofobirth}
Patient Name: {patientname} Patient I.D.: {patientid}
Dependant Code: {dependantcode} Patient D.O.B.: {patientdob}

Where the items within the { } are taken from VM Shopper fields?

Since this is a seamless integration, I would assume that the details can be pulled from VM without issue, so I assume I am either missing something, or using the wrong code?

Please assist.

Regards
Stanley Rieck

    Hello,

    any custom fields on VM are not imported into Invoice Manager (IM has no "placeholder" for them)
    To allow this, coding is necessary, because "space" needs to be made on the IM database to actually hold these fields (think about this: you have some custom fields that you added, other users will have other fields..)

    Hi,

    I do understand what you are saying, however this being a virtuemart add-on, I would expect it to be able to pick up the clients details, if default or not?

    What is the use of getting details form virtuemart, if you cant add shopper fields?

    we will definitely think in a way of including "custom" fields into IM that can be imported (or somehow linked) to external extensions, such as VirtueMart.

    From a technical point of view, this is not easy to achieve, precisely for what was mentioned above: everybody will have different fields with different tags, and most importantly, the system should allow the import of custom fields, virtually from any extension: VirtueMart, Hikashop, etc...

    so this would have to be "flexible" in two ways (inside the application itself and cross-application)

    I thank you very much for your suggestions and reflections. We will think in the best possible way to achieve this (at least in a "partial" way)

    Hello,

    hard to understand why we cannot keep all fields from VM, your advertising announcement "Integrates with VirtueMart," is almost false...
    In many cases, virtuemart needs to be completed by custom fields

    I bought your component for nothing, no interest for me without this possibility.
    the slightest thing would be to announce it clearly, but it is certain that this would cause you to lose many customers

    very disappointed

    :-(

      sorry, we don't have automatic custom fields import. that requires custom coding.

    I suggest you make a paid plugin and start it. All Virtuemart coders will buy it. Because we all want an invoice including custom fields.
