if you are OK modifying an XML file:

all you need to do is open, for example, /modules/mod_content_statistics/mod_content_statistics.xml and find the Introduction text field.
there, you need to add the attribute:

filter="raw"

I am using Content Statistics (MAP) version 1.6.3. "Introduction text" field doesn't accept html tags. Would you please check.
