    hello!

it installs very easy! all you need is to CREATE the modules you want to display the data you want.
tell me, what statistics you want to show?
also, on the backend you have the Content Statistics component to see all the entries. :)

    hello!

well, the "pages they land on".. you mean the pages people see? that is no problem because you can see full detailed info about this with the component.
about "where the traffic originated", there's no such info. I mean, there is the IP info, of course.
for now, that's all you have from "where it originated" the traffic. we are working on future versions to include geolocation tools to that (you know, country, etc), but that's not available yet.

    is that what you mean?

    yes, I can see.
    basic things to check:
    is the core plugin enabled?
    are the extension plugins enabled?
what extension plugins are you using?

I mean, if you use the ARTICLES plugin for instance, be sure to "read" some articles so you can see how they were accessed!

    ok I understand.
no, this info is not stored in Content Statistics...! it never has...!
where you got the impression it did?

if offers info from INSIDE your site. what your users access, what they do, what they visit.

    hello!

no, that's not ALL you see (it's only part of it)
    this is the BACKEND part.
now there are also the FRONTEND modules. you know.. cool colorful graphics to show statistical data!
what you need to do is to start creating modules, those that you want, to display specific information. for instance.. how many times this article has been readed this week, or whatever!
you set the parameters the way you like (timeframe, colors, type of information...) and you place the modules wherever you want!
do yo know what I mean? have you read our USERS GUIDE? :)

the number in parenthesis is the ID of the item (of the K2 article, in these cases)

why the uppercase? when I used the uppercase before I was just trying to point out what parts where important... not yelling or anything! maybe I should use bold instead... sorry if you took the wrong impresion! ;)
I know you are not stupid! I'm just trying to help you!

creating a new module is very easy: you just need to
    1) select what component you want to display data from
    2) select the type of action you want to display (you know... article views, whatever)
    3) set the filters (like... current article, or current category, or whatever)
    4) place the module in the page you want to show it, in the position you want to show it.
    5) set the timeframe. default is 1 week for the graphics module

    does that help...?

about clearing old data: well the really only way is to go directly to the database to do it... but don't worry much about it because it will take time to store much data.. depending on how many users you have on your site...!

 I think you are a bit new to Joomla! ;)

the module you show is not a Content Statistics module! this is a K2 content module - not what we want.

what you need is to click on NEW (on the module list view) and then select the type of module to be Content Statistics - Evolution in time

    does this sound familiar..?

tell me: what data you want to show?
