Content Statistics for Logged in Users

0
Dear content statistics support,

I am running Mosets Tree on my website and would like to provide individual listing statistics to the listing owners once they logged in to their account. Would you please guide me how can I achieve this "content statistics".

Please let me know if you need more information or I should explain this in more details.

Thanks,

Hassan

    Hello,

to allow this, a little bit of code change would be necessary on the Mosets Tree plugin.

You mean changes in this "Content Statistics - Mosets Tree" plugin?

Do you have any plan to add this feature?

yes, correct, in that plugin. at the moment we didn't have any plan for this, no... but it could be customly coded.

    Dear Germinal,

I have never done this before. Is this something I can do with your guidance or you can send me an updated version on the plugin.

    Regards,

    Hassan

I don't have the code. maybe we will upgrade the plugin but it would take some time. if you need this immediatelly, it would need to be done with our Custom Coding Service: http://www.joomlathat.com/contact

Actually, this feature was one of my motivations to purchase "Content Statistics" for my website. I can wait for the upgraded version on Mosets Tree plugin. When do you expect it to be available?

    hello!

you will find a new version of the plugin 1.4.1 for Mosets Tree, in this case we've modified the "current creator" filter to actually display listings stats only for the currently logged in AUTHOR.

    pleas try! :)

    Hello Germinal,

I have installed plugin 1.4.1. Would you please tell me what should be set as module position? or in general how author (creator) can see his listing's statistics? Please consider that one author may have several listing in his account.

    Regards,

    Hassan

it's very simple, in the module you create, you only need to select "current author" as the filter. the module position will be whatever position you want to use...

    Dear Germinal,

It may be simple, but still I couldn't get it right. It might be a confusion from my side :(.

I am trying to display "Content Statistics (MAP)" module for each individual registered author listing after on his account page.

The first attached image shows "Content Statistics (MAP)" module settings. Please let me know if the settings is correct otherwise advice.
The second image shows author's account page where I can not see a link to assigned module for his listing.

Part of the problem here would be that, it is not clear to me what should I look for after logging into my account page. Would you please shade some light on this.

    Thanks,

    Hassan

    hello

    1. "filter by vieweing user" must be set to NO.
    2. you enabled the module in the position "right".. did you enable the module on this particular page?

it works like any other module.. you need to select which position to display it in, and also in which pages it will be visible. like any joomla module...

Thanks for clarifications. How does it work for multiple listings of the same author. For instance, if I have 3 listings in my account how does "MAP" module display statistics for each of them?

How can set "MAP" module to get this output?

    Thanks,

    Hassan

it just "does". if you're using a Map module, and there are visits to your listing (any of the 3) it will show how many visits you had (GLOBALLY) from each country in the map. imagine that, from UK, you have 3 visits to listing A, 2 to listing B and 1 to listing C, then in the "UK" country, the total count shown will be 6.
it's a bit strange to start with the MAP module.. maybe you want to give a change first to the "evolution in time" module...

so, you mean statistics will be global for individual authors, is that right? I had the impression that I can have "evolution in time" graph for each listing separately. This way I could have precise statistics.

Is it possible to generate statistics for each listing?

yes, but then you need to use the "Rankings and lists" module, which is the one that will give you separate listings number. the graphics will be always for "grouped" stats (there's no other way.. think about it: you need a module for each graphic, there's no way to knowing if that author has 1 listing or 100. you won't be creating 100 graphics!

Thanks Germinal for clarifications. Now, I am understanding. Last question for the time being. Should I set "Access" to "Registered" when "current creator" is selected?

hmm.. it's technically "not necessary", but yes, it's recommendable. do it! :)
