I have switched off "Search Engine Friendly URL's"

and

"Use URL Rewriting"

and it works ok but I would like to keep search engine functionality on the site

where? I can click on all buttons and all work fine.. it shows the right view..

In the main-menu on the item sportief i make a choice for list view of the calendar, but the link seems to go to a week view on any choice i make?

I think i know what the problem could have been.

In your local website (localhost), was the URL located in a subfolder? like for example: http://localhost/subfolder
if the answer is YES, then the problem was probably that the main System Plugin for Calendar Planner needs to be set up so its parameters "subfolder" is correctly set

yes you can translate the text. you have to translate the main language file located in /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_calendarplanner.ini

you need to put it on your language folder, change the name and translate

this looks like there may be a javascript conflict on the page that is causing this problem.
do you know how to open the javascript console?
which browser are you using?
if you can show me this on a live server I'll be able to tell you what's failing and how to quickly fix it..
