I have tried several times to get my referral word links to work. If I don't place the referral word and allow the system to create a link it works just fine. How can I correct this.I have tried looking in the forum and documentation and have not found the issue.

My website is www.mypremiumplug.com . If i create an affiliate account with someone named John and i want their link to be www.mypremiumplug.com/john i add john to the refferal section of the acounts panel. When i do that the link gives me a 404 error and does not track But if i leave the referral word section blank and i let the system generate a link that link works and tracks. I want to be able to use and track my vanity links.

    hello,

well, you have to make sure that the page "/john" exists...
Affiliate Tracker will use this as the affiliate link, and will track the visits, but the page HAS to exist. You can only point to an existing page, affiliate tracker does not "create" the page for you.

So you are telling me that my affilates can't have unique affiliate names that lead directly to pages on the site. For instance I have an affiliate named yonisa, and I want to create a track-able affiliate link www.mypremiumplug.com/yonisa">www.mypremiumplug.com/yonisa that leads to www.mypremiumplug.com . Can I do that?

you CAN have those links, but you are responsible to make sure that those links exist (or at least you're responsible to create a redirect, if that's what you want)

do you understand what I mean?

no, an atid is always a number, not a word.
      Should be something like ?atid=3
