Hi There,
I have a very in depth MembershipPro Joomla based subscription site that I'm building, that also makes use of 'EasyProfile' component to extend and much better personalise the standard Joomla user profiles, or registration fields etc.
However, now that I've FINALLY gotten around to setting up my AffiliateTracker, it would seem that the sign-up process is automatically creating a standard Joomla user but as mentioned above, my site is anything but standard and this is posing a huge issue for me, whilst I really need an affiliate system.
Is there ANYWAY whatsoever, that I can create a secondary much more basic Joomla registration that I could then attach to my Affiliate Tracker use and user profile?
The issue with using the current one, is it's so in depth that the majority of the custom user fields will never be selected in the AT sign-up fields and therefore for any AT users, my sites user profile incompleteness will be get triggered and of course that will look very bad and annoying for any AT member of my site.
I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Regards,

0well, actually I was not completely precise when I explained... sorry about that.
the "joomla registration form" will still show in the AFFILIATE registration page if your global setting on your website for "allow user registration" is set to YES.
so, to achieve what I was saying (and to actually NOT display the registration form) a few small changes would be needed on the file that is responsible for showing that form to the user... -

0Thanks for the reply Germinal,
However, I'm getting myself all confused now trying to set this up right lol.
So are you saying that, I can have my ordinary stock Joomla registration page as normal, as it's incredibly detailed and I don't want to disrupt that... also affiliate members data is different and hence I cannot mix the two.
Then I have the following options configured in my AT "options" section?
You can see I already ask for unity (affiliate) members to be placed in to that group.
However, won't the above STILL mean that unity member accounts sit within the Joomla stock registration form or will the AT registration form fields capturing the basic information as found in the AT registration form, be honoured and respected by my ordinary Joomla registration system and setup?
I apologies, it's really hard to explain at times in text on a screen.
I look forward to hearing from you.

0well, yes it is possible, at least most of it...
what I was saying was not the "disable front-end registration". it was simple to leave it "de-coupled" from Affiliate Tracker.
this way, you have your easyprofile registration form on one page, and then in affiliate tracker you just have the "request affiliate account" page, where the user adds his details for the request (basically, just name, email and such), and then you approve or not this request on the backend, "accounts", just as you described.
then, the fact that those affiliates have access to certain areas of your site depends only on the ACL permissions that you give them... this is really not directly "responsability" of Affiliate Tracker.
you can for example include every affiliate into a new Joomla user group that you can create, called "affiliates".
Then you just set the permissions for this group as you which...
does that make sense to you? -

Yes, this would have been ideal in one sense but it seems that whilst this would have been better for those wanting to come on board with our affiliate scheme, on the other hand it poses too many issues it would seem.
if you have such a customized easyprofile registration process, looks like the best option in your case would be to NOT allow user registration in affiliate tracker. instead, they should register with easyprofile, and then request an affiliate account in Affiliate Tracker.
do you know what I mean?
I'm not sure that is possible to have more than one Joomla registration form, I will check with EasyProfile. In the meantime, would this be possible;
Disable frontend sign-up
Create independent sign-up for to capture required affiliate member interest details.
They then submit this to my site.
I then create their affiliate account in my AT backend 'Accounts'.
I then send them their access details to their AT powered affiliate account.
Then can only access the AT-related aspects of my site, which would have it's own ACL group / user access setup.
They can access specific URL's via the AT Marketing feature, that would have my sites specific services that I want to include in my affiliate system
Is the above remotely possible or am I 100% stuck with whatever I try to achieve, in AT requiring the stock joomla registration system?
I look forward to your thoughts and input.
