AT and OS Membership

Hi, I have just installed AT and CS to work alongside my virtumart and OS membership. The VM part is relatively passive tracking so shouldnt present any issues. However, the OS membership is a bit trickier, in that OS membership hijacks the joomla registration and redirected towards the membership plan page - just how it should be of course.

This presents a bit of an issue with AT as a joomla registration is required before an affiliate account can be requested/created.

Theonly obvious workaround is to create a 'Affiliate Membership' BUT it is not desirable for the general public to see such a affiliate program on a commercial site. 1. Its not commercially very professional to flaunt a affiliate program to the general public 2. It wil just encourage people to try and generate affiliate accounts just to receive a discount on the product the were about to buy, albeit in the form of commission.

I'm probably looking at this from the wrong angle, so I welcome any advice available.

This product seems ideal, the only thing I would love to see is a bit more information on deployment, how people are using, how to get the best out of the product - this would be invaluable.

By Way of an update on this issue it seems that integration with OS membership will always have this problem because of its need to hijack the registration and point to the membership plans. Its ok for manual affilite creation of course because that can be done in the backend but affiliate self-registration will be off the menu.

I have been directed back to OS membership for them to solve. I'm hoping OS can help.
