Magnesia carbon brick (MgO-C brick) is a high-performance refractory material made from magnesia (MgO) and graphite (C), bonded with resin or pitch. It offers excellent slag resistance, thermal shock stability, and high-temperature strength, making it ideal for steelmaking applications like converters, ladles, and EAF linings. The carbon content (typically 10-30%) enhances corrosion resistance while reducing oxidation through added antioxidants like Al, Si, or Mg metals.
