IE 8 Problem with Album View

I'm having a problem with loading the album view in IE 8. I get the following message frequently when loading a page:

I'm able to fix this using the alternate JWPlayer plugin from
http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/forum/version-1-5/ie-crashes-on-pages-with-jwplayer.html#3619

But, when I use this version of the plugin in firefox, i get a javascript error when switching tracks within a playlist:
album_player is not defined

    yes, I know. an improved version of JW player will be available withiin the next few days. as you can see on the link you posted, version 1.5.2 worked kinda well execpt some cases. then version 1.5.3 was ment to solve this, but we missed something. so we are working on version 1.5.4 wich should work fine everywhere.

    No problem. I'm just getting started on this part of the project I'm working on and have plenty of other things to do in the meantime.

    I also had a similar javascript error in Firefox on adding a song to a play list:
    add_song_to_playlist is not defined
