In looking through the forums and reading the installation documentation, I noticed that short_open_tags needs to be enabled in php.ini. Some users do not have access to php.ini, and some admins absolutely refuse to enable this feature. See this tread. I would think that, depending on the amount of code involved with Music Collection, this would be an EXTREMELY EASY and reasonably quick fix. Just go through all of the files with short tags and replace them with long ones using an editor such as notepad++.
