Hi.

For some reason the tax in VM shows 11.9% whereas the tax in Virtuemart is set to 14%. This is only for products, so I think the calculation in VM is not working the same as in IM.

I have a product set up as follows:
http://paigeone.co.za/new/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=65&virtuemart_category_id=8

In Virtuemart:
Cost Price is: 269
Marge (Markup): +60% (161.40) = 430.40
(Discount) Price Modifier before TAX: -15% (-64.56) = 365.84
VatTax: +14% (51.22) = 417.06

So in VM my total is R417.06

So when I go through payment process (Payfast) it takes off R417.60 from the test account, and everything works fine.

However when I go view my invoice, I have the following:

In Invoice Manager
Unit Cost: R 430.40 (which is my cost price with markup)
Discount: R 64.56 (Which is the same as my Discount )
Tax: (11.90%??? WTF???) R 43.53 <------- WHY O WHY?

So in IM my Total is:R 409.37

There is a difference of R7.69

I have the virtuemart plugin set to 14%,

I have the VAT on the tax of IM set to 14%, as well as in the config (Deafult = 14%)

So please explain why virtuemart can do the Maths, however IM keeps changing the VAT to 11.9%?

This is very hard to figure out, and very hard to test, as I have tried all 4 combination in the Tax (Group 1 / 2 as well as changing before / after taxes, with both alternatives - But It seems this does not control the tax in the IM at all, since it is pulled from either the plugin, or the VM)

Feel free to place an order and see for yourself.

    hello

this is probably related to the ORDER in which the price with DISCOUNT is calculated.

it is showing 11.9 because it's probably applying the discount without tax.

if you can send me joomla and FTP access I'm pretty sure I can fix this easily.
