php8 compatibility Bug

0
Hi, when I update my site to php8 I can no longer see the content statistics information in the back end? When is switch back to 7.4 I can see the activity logs so they are clearly still working in the background, but on php8 I can't access the records.

I just wanted to check in if content statistics works well on php8 for other people so I can work out if it is another plugin or component causing the problem or content statistics itself.

Many thanks. Tracey

Hello,

Thanks for reporting this.

I've uploaded a new version, 2.0.1, of the Content Statistics components that should solve this issue.

What was the fix to the code, as the backend doesn't run in PHP 8. It only works on PHP7.4

Hi, I've turned error reporting on for the site and have just had this error message come through when trying to access Content Statistics with php8:

    Error Code 0
    Error Type Error
Message Non-static method ContentstatsHelper::versionBox() cannot be called statically

Does that help shed any light on the problem? Like I say its working fine with php7.4

    Thanks. Tracey
