Discogs and scan folder not working

Using 2.3.1 en joomla 3.1.5. It's a clean install.

Installed component and both system plugins (and activated)

Can get search on Discogs and Scan folder to work. When I push the search/scan button nothing happens, No sign off any activity. No results either.

    it sounds like some javascript issue.
    can't really say what is causing this without seeing. can you send us joomla access at support@ joomlathat.com?

    The website is a local install. I'm developing it right now. So I've installed a fresh Joomla install on a server I tried to download the MusCol component again. That's not possible because you blocked my account and I'm not a verified customer anymore. What's the reason for it? I paid you the subsciption fee.

    I think it's strange behaviour to block a valid customer without any warning. I hope it's a mistake and please activate my account again so I can provide you with a login.

      no problem, please see your email (I contacted you there). I did not blocked your account :) the system automatically does that if there's any missmatch on the Country field during the checkout process

    Well in the backend everything is functional except for scanfolder button and discogs. I can manualy add álbuns and songs. In the front end besides the MC front page, nothing works. when you click to explore na artista you get a blank page. i´m using joomla 2.5 and xampp 1.8.2.

      what happens if you enable error reporting? does any error show up, instead of the blank page?

      that sounds strange. can you check if the PHP directive "short_open_tag" is set to ON?

      well, the directive is commented and it says default value is in, i turn it off. Nothing new!

      the problem here is that I'm unable to see the problem because you're in localhost.. is there anyway you can test this on an online server?

      I don't think it's joomla 2.5.17, but it could be Xammp, yes.

      this thread is a bit old. Which particular issue are you having with Discogs and Scan folder? any message shows up? what's the behavior?

    hello,

    Discogs changed their API to connect. You need to install our latest version of music collection to be able to connect to the new discogs.

    I'm reluctant to follow your advice
    you can just install the new version
    because I altered so many things.
    According to the changelog just two files changed in 2.4.6 Version

    /administrator/components/com_muscol/tables/album.php
    /administrator/components/com_muscol/controllers/albums.php

    I replaced those but it doesn't help.
    Also, all worked fine until most recently, could it be that discogs did additional changes since the release of 2.4.6?

    yes, well the Discogs changes were made on version 2.4.5 too.
    there are other files that need to be changed..

    at least you need to replace the file config.xml and also the /administrator/components/com_muscol/views/albums/tmpl/default.php

    I also missed to include the discogs.php until now. The authentication is new.
    (a detailed changelog for each release would be of immense help, really)

    All working now.
