SEF not working.

So, I have uploaded the php file in the sh404 folder, and the URLs did not change in any way.

Is there any thing that I should to for it to work?
I tried changing the parameters in sh404 configuration by component but still no changes. It's like it isn't affected my the component.

Any ideas?

(Sorry for opening so many threads with my problems. I'd like to open one or two more.. but maybe they'll help others sometime )

    mm... I don't use sh404sef so I dont know the exactly process it does to rewrite URLs... but.. I think it has some configuration on the backend for the extensions.

    id sh404sef workin OK for the other components?
    do you run sh404sef with or without .htaccess file?

    I only tested it without .htaccess, however, another user of this Forum (simone) told me that this extension was working OK with .htaccess file also

    I solved it. I had to purge all the URLs created with sh404SEF and to try different parameter combination.

    That may be from my end, because I had some problems with SEF URLs after changing my hosting provider.

    The only link it does not rewrite is the Search / Detail View one. But it doesn't concern me.

    Now I'm off to skinning DEWplayer. Donno if it's possible but will try. If I succeed, should I give you the result ?

    The current skin does not bound well with a blackish background.

    good think you solved it :)

    mm.. I think you wont be able to modify dewplayer... since it is an embedded player, provided by alsacreations (http://www.alsacreations.fr/dewplayer), but it's not very modifiable (for instance, change the button color from green to something else...)
    anyway, good look

    if you fins another player that you like more, tell me and we'll try to write a plugin to include it into Music Collection :)
