Working on getting MC setup and adding a few albums and such.
However, I'm wondering if I'm going about something wrong or missing/skipping a step.
Here's what I am doing and the results.
1. FTP the album to the songs folder
2. Login to admin area and go to MC and then to "Albums"
3. Click "scan a folder" and it finds successfully everytime the album I just ftp'ed
4. Under "folders found" I click on the album I want to add
5. Now it shows me whaat songs are in that folder so I click on "Create a new album using these files"
6. Then underneath artist name of the form I get "Could not find artist matching 3rd Bass(or whoever). Please select artist from list"
So then I have to click on Artists tab, add the artist, go back and start over.
I realize I could just add the artist first then do these steps however that still seems goofy.
So again, am I missing something here or is that just the way it's done?

0you're not missing anything, that's the way it goes.
the artists MUST be created before the "autoscanning" process.
Yes, this is a thing to improve (create artists "on the go" if they dont exist). we're working on it, it's very likely to be on future upgrades
actually, its not too goofy... just spend a couple minutes, before you start scaning, creating your artists.
come on, an artists is created in 5 or 10 seconds! so if you have 100 artisits, it wont take you more than 15 minutes to create them all... -
