Adding songs from external site

Hi,

I have purchased one new hosting account since mine does not allow streaming. But I am not able to find the option in the parameters by which i can set my new hosting as the location to upload the files. Additionally, if I change the source folder option in the parameters to the new hosting link, it still does not do anything.

Can someone tell me where I am going wrong?

    hello

    two separate things here:
    1) to upload music in a different server... well, you must do it on that other server! not from music collection (that is literally impossible...!)

2)once the songs are in the separate server, you can tell your music collection to stream from there:
set up the SONGS SERVER parameter to point to the new server. for instance: http://www.externalserver.com

also set the SONGS PATH, for instance /songs on the extenral server

and then, your songs simply contain the name of the file, for instance song.mp3

with all these, this song will be retrieved from

    http://www.externalserver.com/songs/song.mp3

But if I create the albums and artists in my site, and only host the songs in the external server, how to i add these songs to the album. Because it gives me only option to browse to add the new songs, which adds it in my own site rather than the external site.

    I just told you...
just create new songs, and TYPE the filename of the song (that would be stored in the extenral server), don't use the upload field (because this is for uploading files to the same server..)
