Old Joomla Site migration Task

Hi I have a site that I have taken on from another company but it is Joomla 3 and it need to migrate or just needs to be rebuilt. The issue is when the old agency built it they never updated Invoice Manger which is still on version 1.4.9. Would this migrate or would it be easir to just rebuild in Joomla 4? And if I do that would all the files and 10 years of invoicing history be transferable?

Any advice would be appreciated as Invoice Manger is new to me, never used it.

    it would be easier to rebuild in Joomla 4 to be honest.

    the history of invoices should be transferable by doing a manual backup of the DB tables, mostly. it's doable but it will take you some "manual" work.

    I was hoping that an export- import option may be available for all the data! Sound like I will need to do a bit of investigation work on what is going to be involved.
