Difference between modules and admin modules

0
Hi,

This is probably a daft question, but I would rather ask!

There are two modules of each type, one with 'admin' after the filename. Is this just for recording statistics that happen in the backend?

Thanks again,

Dave.

    hello,

no, these are for creating modules (showing graphics) on the backend, that's all. the modules are identical than the frontend ones, but will be used on the backend area. if you don't need graphics on the backend.. then you don't need these admin modules :)

Ok - that makes sense - thanks!

So I could create an article and embed modules that only a SuperUser could see on the frontend as a way of displaying the statistics?

Also, if I want a report on (for example) both core content and DocMan, would I need to create a module for each one?

Thanks again for the fast support - it's much appreciated!

    Dave.

yes, you could do that indeed.

and yes, you would need a different module for each one.. OR you can use our COMPARE modules to draw both charts in the same graphic! :)
