our extension and Google analytics are two different things, two different extensiosn that work completely in different ways.. the data doesn't have to be the same...

I'm not sure which particular info you want to compare between the two... can you make an example?

Hello Germinal,

I am still in discussion with my client about the difference in data from your application and Google Analytics. In that respect, can you please advice me which data is in the application as shown in the component. The IP Addresses seems to me that they are from servers instead of individual users. I will include a picture from the last page. As you can see this IP is visiting a lot of pages ID number 6068 till 6143 in the period 29 mei 2015 11.57 till 29 mei 2015 12.05.
Is my assumption correct?
Please advice.

hello,

the IP is a parameter that the petition "sends" to the page. there's no way of knowing if is a user or a "server" as you say.
but I think that what you mean is if it's a ROBOT. right?
yes, the behavior pointed seems like it may be a crawler searching the web.

what you can do, if you find an IP that is accessing the website and you see many entries, you can block it on the plugin parameters (Content Statistics). you can input the IP there and it will not register this IP.

I hope its cool to update this as im seeing the same thing at my site.
I have the stat mod for the albums, see attachment. The #1 has a lot more hits as you can see... but, those hits are fake. My analytics from google show almost NO activity on that specific page..

So i was thinking it might be bots?? I saw the idea here to block them by entering them into the plugin. But your own plugin (Content Statistics - Music Collection) does not have such an option.?? So where am i to enable this?

I looked at plugin"System - Content Statistics" which does have this but does that work with yours? I'm a little confused here

yes, the plugin "System - Content Statistics" IS ours, there is where you have to put it...
