Hi!

I purchased the extended version and am using it together with the OS-Membership pro plugin.

I've setup all as described here:

http://www.joomlathat.com/documentation/affiliate-tracker/multi-level-affiliates

I tested it and unfortunately the automatic creation of levels doesn't work...

Within the plugin I've set the comissions (3 levels) to: 20,10,5

Then I created user 1, used his affiliatelink to create user 2 and used user 2's link to create user 3.
In the backend no relationships are shown/generated.

It's working, when I assign the relationship manually.

Please help me asap - Thank you!

so.. when you access the website with affiliate 1's link, to create the second affiliate account.. it does not get registered as a "child" account?

can you check that you are using latest version of our system plugin?

    Hello Melson,

I've just tested it and for me is working fine.

To test it, you should open a new incognito window and clear all the cookies, then visit the affiliate link there.
Once you create an account for the child, in the affiliate tracker logs section does it appear an entry linking the new user with the affiliate link owner?

    Thank you,
    Joan

Thanks Joan - I've tried that even in different browsers.

    But unfortunately without any effect.

The affiliate Link points to the mainpage. The subscriptionpage is another menuitem.

I create a subscription at the frontend and activate it in the backend.
Then I copy the affiliatelink and paste it to a different browser (cleared cache, etc.), go to the subscriptionpage, create a new one..

The accounts are created in AT but the parentship does not appear :-(

    Regards
    Michael

    Hello again Michael,

    This is strange.
If you can provide me access to the front-end and back-end at joan@ joomlathat.com I will try to figure out what is happening by going step by step and seeing what is exactly not working.

    Thank you,
    Joan

    Hi Michael,

    I've found the problem.

I saw that you had the "New affiliate for new user - Affiliate Tracker" plugin activated.

When a guest goes to the front-end and creates an account with the affiliate form, this plugin doesn't need to be activated. The plugin needs to be activated when the guests register through the joomla new account form.

So the correct way to work is to have the plugin disabled (I already did it), then a guest visits your page with an affiliate link, creates an account using the AT page (requesting a new affiliate link).

And then the new affiliate is linked as a child with it's parent.
I did a test and it worked, I created a joomla user and an affiliate account with this method that you can delete after looking at it.

If there is something you don't understand, tell me. I tried to explain myself as well as I could.

    Thank you,
    Joan

    Okay Joan - I understand

So this means, that AT has to handle the signups...

Hm - I only wanted to give members who paid access to the affiliateprogram. But that seems not to work.

Now if I understand right, this could be a solution:

    - AT handles new signups
    - new users are "registered"
    - the paid contents and services are handled with OS Membership, which puts users in a new group such as "members"
    - components and contents visible for members only have to be assigned to that group

    Right?

I'm only afraid, that there will be a lot free signups and the freebees will spam the whole web :-(

    Any other idea?

    regards Michael

    Yes Michael,
    that would be a solution.

However, I think there is a better solution.
How about using the default joomla register form to create users and those who paid you put them on the members group.

After that, you create a menu item to the affiliate new account form only visible for the members. This way only the members will be able to create an Affiliate account.

    Joan

    Thanks Joan.
That also seems to work via OS Membership :o

    Two more questions left:

    1. How can I make the account fields required (form doesn't prompt required fields) - and I'd like to disable 2 of them. Possible by override?

    2. How can I create a frontend menu item to edit the account information?

Otherwise all works as it should :)

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards
    Michael

    Hi!

    1. This would require some coding. If you can handle it, you can find the php form here:

    components/com_affiliatetracker/views/account/tmpl/form.php

    and the javascript here:

    components/com_affiliatetracker/assets/account.js

    2. In order to edit the account information, in the accounts view, on the left of each account's the affiliate link there should be an edit icon. If you can't see it maybe there is some css conflict between your template css and ours.

Tell me if you see it.

    Regards,
    Joan

Yes, when a person registers on the site via an affiliate link, no parent entry appears!
We therefore have no links over generations !!!
Everything is set as appropriate for explanation data on your site
However, as we go through the plugin Hikashop for registration, I wonder if it's not it blocking?

    Thank you for your help

ok, so you mean that when a user REGISTERS, no conversion is made?

you want to make a conversion on user registration?
