Refund Request

Hello,

I just purchased Music Collection on Saturday. I had an important project to finish by the end of the Memorial day weekend. When I tried to download the package I kept getting a warning message that the package might contain malicious software. I looked at one of your forum posts and saw that you explained that it was not a big deal. The problem is that at work I am not allowed to download anything that generates such messages. The person in the other posts was saying that he was able to download it via Firefox but that did not work for me either. Our company firewall was blocking the file any way I tried. Just because I was under so much stress I went home to download it and indeed at home it did not work on Chrome but it did work in Firefox. I downloaded the file and put it on a USB key. When I came back to work I got the same problem with the file on the USB key. Our company's security system put the file in quarantine and because of the Holiday weekend I couldn't get an IT guy to assist me with this. I had no choice but to work on another solution. Please refund my purchase.

Thank you,

Sima

    Hello,

You're the second person to tell me this in 6 years... This means the firewall is blocking the file really for no reason. I can asure you there's no malicious software at all, it's just a bundle of PHP files packed together. My only idea is that maybe it is blocking it because the language files in Joomla are .ini files, and maybe it considers it malicious, I don't know. But then it should be doing this with all the joomla extensions you may try to download.. (they all contain .ini files)...

I will refund your purchase, but please, it's really important to point out that this is no error on our end, this is really that your firewall is not correctly configured and it's considering "malicious" some software that is not.

Thank you for the refund. I probably have to agree with you. This is why I went home to download it. Unfortunately some of our IT people are real sticklers. There is not much you can do about that in a large company like ours, they have all these extra security rules setup and they just will not make any exceptions. However I would contact Google if I were you because at this point they are costing you money and making your company look bad. I can assure you that I have never gotten this with any other Joomla extension download. Attached is a screenshot of the message I was getting in Chrome. Do not be discouraged to contact them because it is Google. I have seen different but similar issue with them and they actually went out of their way to fix it. Hope this helps. Thanks again!
