I have a strange problem.
When i try to navigate thru the pagination at the bottom of this page

i get the following link:

On other pages the pagination works.

i downloaded my site local to try several things to fix it and i found out that when i change in /sef_ext/com_muscol.php "musicCollection" to "Karaoke" it makes the link look like this /muscol/ except for the breadcrumb and global joomla search (album search plugin) it make it /karaoke/.

2-But after i edited sh404sef back-end setting configuration / By Component in muscol line i typed karaoke on the last filed on the right it worked, now all my links are /karaoke/ including breadcrumb and global joomla search (album search plugin), but of course you have to keep /sef_ext/com_muscol.php "karaoke" instead of "MusicCollection".
3-changing shsef404 setting configuration / By Component to karaoke without changing /sef_ext/com_muscol.php i mean leaving 'MusicCollection' as is, this make all links become /musiccollection/ including breadcrumb and global joomla search (album search plugin)
Note: i am using sh404sef 2.1.8.777 not your version, and you need to purge urls.

i guess when you uninstall sh404sef and reinstall it it doesn't retrieve its default setting as it keeps the setting on database unless if you used to uncheck saving your settings in sh404sef backend. i have all links named /karaoke/ which is the home page of musiccollection. i don't have links named /musiccollection/.

2.How you edit the /sef_ext/com_muscol.php to change all links to be whatever you want instead of musiccollection? i relay need this as in search album and breadcrumb i have links generated like /musiccollection/ and i want to change it to /karaoke/ to be like all other links. i guess it's because search album and breadcrumb non-sef urls doesn't have default item id on it, thats whay sh404sef replace it with /musiccollection/ instead of /karaoke/

I believe sh404SEF (and others) put always the menu item name at the beggining... if, besides of the direct links from menus, you want to keep only 1 "compoennt root" name, then you should use the Default ITEMID param.. isnt that working?

After upgrade sh404SEF to latest version 2.1.9.787 I think I have a problem with $titol_menu = (empty($titol_menu) || $titol_menu == '/') ? 'MusCollection':$titol_menu;
All seo url for MC must be /MusCollection/ right?
But my url generated /newrelease/ (see Item menu5)
If I disable all menu items url genegated /muscol/

and when i click on 1 or start it display the page with all modules correctly, it uses this url www.startsing.com/index.php/en/">http://www.startsing.com/index.php/en/

but something goes wrong when i change the display number, the right modules disappear and it display the same 20 listings regardless of the number i choosed.

the new ext is very good, it solved the home page pagination, but in the url it types http://www.startsing.com/index.php/musiccollection/page-2-20?layout=grid

i guess it's something in item id, but i made sure that all musiccollection menus has the correct item id 89, this issues also affect the facebook like button and tweeter button as they refuse to appear. any idea how to solve this problem?

one more thing, when i click on 1 in the pagination or start button, it display the page without modules, except modules that rendered in all pages like login and footer.

I am using latest sh404SEF 2.1.8.777 component and it is not working with ext_sh404sef_muscol_1.5.0

well i think to it's sh404sef issue but i didn't find any solution for it. is ti possible to his pagination on this page but without displaying all alums at once, i need to display the list limit in the global setting but without pagination till i find a work around for this bug in sh404sef.
i tried in homepage menu item to disable "Use pagination in artists view" but didn't work i guess it's only working for artist view not search-grid view that i am using.

I think the problem is that sh404SEF takes the variables from the URL, and of course, in the homepage there are no variables in the url... so it does the pagination wrong...

I'll try to find out more about this. have you looked into their forums? maybe this is a known sh404sef issue...


By the way, I must say your site looks really nice, you took care of the little details to make an attractive homepage!

the old sh404sef extension works fine with 2.1.4.734 version except the pagination in search song view which i use as my site homepage to display the latest songs www.startsing.com
the problem in next prev and numbers ...
if you can just disable making sef url in pagination that would be so good, or make logical sef as now it creates ( www.startsing.com/index.php/index.php )

in artists layout detailed the pagination is perfect with sh404sef 2.1.4.73 here you are http://www.startsing.com/index.php/karaoke.html?layout=detailed make pagination to display only 5 artists, then use next pre end start buttons or the numbers, you will find sef generates very good sef like this one ( http://www.startsing.com/index.php/karaoke/Page-3-5.html?layout=detailed ).

But can you remove ?layout=detailed from the muscol homepage Artist-detailed view to be only http://www.startsing.com/index.php/karaoke.html

so here's the question:

-WHERE does it not work in your site? (can you post a link). I mean.. viewing which page? or playing songs, maybe?
-what mode are you using on sh404SEF? WITH .htaccess or WHITHOUT -htaccess?
