Hi there sir, I just purchased this component, and its great. I just have a little issue with how the URLs are being rendered.. I want to remove this piece of the URL:

/component/muscol/

the entire URL looks like this:

/component/muscol/J/2-jose-luis-perales.html

I'm using the built-in joomla Mod_rewrite URL system.. I noticed on the demo the URLs are different.. how can I make mine the same as yours...

the URLs on the demo are done using Artio JoomSEF.
(we provide an integration plugin for it)

in your case, I believe you cannot get ride of the "/component/muscol/" part if using Joomla's native SEF system: it's the way Joomla has to identify the component requested...

this is not what your features page says, Mr.

"Built-in Joomla SEF engine router: The component comes out-of-the-box with an script that allows the built-in Joomla SEF engine to process the URLs of Music Collection component so they look nice and human readable. This feature does not need configuration of any kind, and does not need any external (third party) extension to work, it works right away with your basic Joomla system. Using this option, the same URL we showed you above would look like this:
    http://www.site.com/music/B/190-the-beatles/832-abbey-road/8401-something"

I want this URLs to look like that..

that is absolutely right. this is already built in into music collection

what I'm saying is that the first part (/component/muscol/ in your case) depends on JOOMLA and on your menu item... what the sef router does is to route the "rest" of it!!! so you know what i mean?

no, I don't get it, because other components don't behave this way.. jomsocial for example does not show the component side of it..

if you want, send me joomla access (and FTP access, too) at joomlamusicsolutions@gmail.com

this is a music solution link:
    /component/muscol/J/2-jose-luis-perales.html

    this is a jomsocial link:

    /home/84-janet-amaya/videos/video/266-Im+in+the+mood+for+love+Frank+Sinatra.html

you see, there is no "component' section.. how can I make your URLs like jomsocial..
