Ok, i tried to install the new muscol 3

I have many problems to get it to work, really.
But I get the idea of the new version. The card layout looks nice.
I'm less impressed by the search that's now on every page. For some reason the tag search doesn't work properly here, and it looks like it's not easy to disable it altogether but keeping the search module.
What I like most is the new player, though I cannot get it to work. I fetched the key, but still no luck. Did I miss something?
Now that's actually my 2 questions: the player plugin is enabled, I got my key, nothing is playing.
Secondly, would it be possible to integrate the player into muscol 2.4.3?
My current website works just fine and I added all additional features I need, had put a lot work into the playlist thing, and the new version is even missing the stats. I'm really reluctant to upgrade.

    Hello,

    you mean that you want to disable the "extra options" in the search bar? or that you want to get ride of the search page in every page, next to the letterbar?

    about the player: I don't know if you missed something. Please make sure you followed our installation instructions.

    Also very important to check if you have installed our SYSTEM plugin, and make sure it's in the LAST position of your plugins list (as stated in the installation instructions)

    No, the player can only work in the new version, not 2.4.3. The thing is that it's not just the player that is new... the new player works with the new system which is completely new...

    However, all that being said, if your current website works ok and you like it how it is, and if you have made customizations, maybe you just DON'T need to upgrade... you can keep running your current version.

    The new version changes many things (design, the jwplayer module is gone, the stats are gone)

    I'd like to remove the search that appears on every page. Btw, ever tried tag search on mobile? A select field would be more convenient, how could a visitor know the tags?

    Yep, I followed the instructions. The system plugin is last, still no luck. Also the Album module with card layout doesn't show artist, year, ranking.
    There's more trouble, probably all is a template issue. I'll do a fresh install soon and will get back to you in detail should those issues remain.

    I noticed the changes in the new version. The new templating system is something I like. Also the new frontend layout in general, artist page looks just great!
    In terms of features and functionality, well I guess my requirements are very specific. Have a look

    Thanks for your reply..

    Hello,

    to get ride of the search bar in every page is quite easy. just open file /views/artists/tmpl/default_letterbar.php
    you just need to remove the piece that says:

    <?php if(!$big_bar){ ?>
    <div class='col-md-3 searchbox-container-small'>
    <?php
    include(JPATH_SITE.DS.'components'.DS.'com_muscol'.DS.'views'.DS.'artists'.DS.'tmpl'.DS.'default_searchbar.php'); ?>
    </div>
    <?php } ?>

    about the tags search: yes, maybe a select would be a good idea too. We may include this in the next minor update, to let the user choose.

    I had looked almost everywhere, not in artists view. Thanks.

    Yes, do reconsider the search behavior. Less clicks are better I believe.

    I removed the code, but the search bar is still showing. I would rather it be a module where I can control where I want it to be shown on the page. Please assist: www.hungrylamb.com
