yes, indeed, this is only available on the backend (because it's not an "upload" field but a text field, so it asumes that the file has been uploaded before)

if you are ok with adding a bit of code yourself, all you need to do is to copy the text field form the backend form (/administrator/components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/form.php) and add it to the frontend form (same path without the /administrator)

thanks for the reply,,,better idea is whether to upload the album on sharing websites or to install PHOCA or EDocman , DOCman components & add the link of the download in the Review of the albums ,,thats what i could come up & thinking of for now,,,thanks for the reply again :cheer:

I don't see this option from the front end. Is this only available from the admin back end? If so, could you provide the code or an estimate for a custom mod to add it to the front end for users to add their own album files (zip arhives)?

this is not currently available... I mean, there's one spot for a whole album file but you have to upload it, it's not generated automatically...
