In Joomla 3.x backend, when I try to add a new song under the Album Details, I end up getting a 404 Forbidden Error. Albums, Artists could be added without any problem, just the songs are giving problem. The issue only happen when I provide URL for the song .. when I upload a song file that works well. But when I give URL of a mp3 file hosted at amazon, it gives 404 Fobidden Error.

Your help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Yup, no matter what URL you give, it would end up with the error.

This is what I have tried.
    a) added the song through the DB
    b) checked in the backend and the song was appearing in the album
    c) when saved the album, same error again.

Tried with any random URL and that gave an error as well.

    Hello

    happy new year!

ok I could test it and notice that, for some reason, if the string "http" is used in that form, this error shows. this is quite strange, had never seen that before. it has to be some security setting enabled on your website or something like that.

can you send me FTP access at support@ joomlathat.com?
