Hello I'm thinking to buy the component Affiliate Tracker but I need to be sure I can use it as I would need so I have some questions:

1) is the user interface available in other languages or is it possible to translate it?

2) I need this component mainly to make able our affiliates to send customers on our (restaurant) website not really to make a purchase but to book a dinner on the restaurant, the affiliate will be not paid for the booking itself but he will get a commission based on how much those customers will spend at the restaurant, for this reason I cannot know how much each affiliate would earn until the customer pay the bill.

What I need is to be able to insert manually at the end of the dinner the total sum of the bill paid from the customer, then only in this moment the affiliate would be able to see the total bill spent and the relative commission.

Is this possible using this component?

    hello,

yes, the affiliate gets the link, just like you describe.

the second part, the "hidden field on the form where you can put the affiliate ID", is what requires customization. the way we usually do it is that we have a plugin that would track the "form submission", and it would identify the cookie, and it will add this action in the "conversions" list: "user A submitted form after accessing from affiliate B link." in this case, the plugin would also need to be created customly for your form extension.

the method you propose (hidden field) is also OK, but requires coding as well.

actually, the way our system does it (IF the plugin exists), it does all automatically for you. it will automatically create that conversion for you, and it will set it for the monetary value you want (you can define the percentage), so you actually have to do nothing (you don't need to go look on the affiliate IDs table to see whose was it, etc. it's all done automatically).

but again, you need a custom plugin that is the one that will track the "form submission" action, which is the KEY action here.

Hi, well I dont know how your component works yet.

What I thought is that the affiliate register itself and get his own tracker id or urls, something like www.mywebsite.com?pr=cris or similar, coming in the website using that url the component should track the client or I would use a cookie to keep track on the variable or the affiliate id.

When the client make a reservation or the booking (form made with chronoforms) I would add an hidden field where I should put the affiliate id code (reading the cookie), in this way I would receive by mail the booking details and the affiliate id.

At this point I guess that inside my control panel I should be able to see all the affiliates with their respective affiliate id or tracking code then when the customer will pay the bill I would add a new sell to that affiliate where I would add the total of the bill paid from the customer he sent. I even think there should be the way in your component to set a % for commission then I should see if to add the total amount of the bill an the system should assign him the %.

    What do you think?

If you have any other idea let me know ok? thank you!

    1. yes, we have a few languages available (http://www.joomlathat.com/downloads/affiliate-tracker/languages-3 ) and it's very easy to translate too.

    2. ok there's no problem, as long as you track the customer or the "booking", you can add the comission manually later.

there's no problem, you can create the conversions manually at any point and make them visible to the affiliate.

the only question here is: you want to track BOOKINGS, right? which component do you use for that? it's possible that you need a custom plugin for that.
