Hi, i'd like to know if admin can add customer(s) to an affiliate manually from backend at dashboard.
For example if customer forget to link to the site by using the unique link of the affiliate.

Best regards

no, it will not. The association is only active from the moment of creation. Only the future will be counted.

    Hello Francesco,
If you mean manually creating a conversion for an affiliate referring to a client, yes.
You can do it in the conversions section, by clicking on the new button.

There, you can define the affiliate account linked to the conversion and the value of the conversion.

    Thank you,
    Joan

I am talking about a customer that forget to use the affiliate link to register on my site, so affiliate ask to admin to link that customer to him manually.
    So i can manage it?
    Thanks

    Then no,
this is an action that is made automatically by the system, not something that the manager can do.

    Thank you,
    Joan

Ok i got it. I think this is no so good because there isn't any way to fix that scenario manually. So if this happens no way to link that customer to the affiliate.
I think you should add this feature too.
    Let me know please.
    Thanks

We have the need to add affiliate members by outside sales people as is described above. To do this we propose this process.

Membership is created by sales rep in the field in the front end. All that is needed is the new affiliate's email address. If referring affiliate tracking id is known, that link should be used to reach the site...If it can be reached from the New Affiliate's computer, even better. if not, It can be mapped later in the backend. If referring affiliate's name is known, it is input in the registration form. After registration, Joomla workflow sends new affiliate a password and can log into the site to find their account.

Once the New Affiliate is registered, Affiliate Tracker can be used manually to map the referring affiliate, create conversion etc.

Please let me know if this will or will not work adequately as a manual process.

    Thank you.

I'm not sure to understand what you're describing.

You want to be able to "link" customers to affiliates? or to add affiliates yourself? (this last part is already possible...)

Trying to describe a manual process that allows tracking of an affiliate's referral activity with little or nothing done by the affiliate or his referral.

Once both Affiliate and referral have a Joomla account, the tracking activity can be entered in the affiliate component by the administrator.

This is necessary to be able to "help" inexperienced or lazy affiliates.

I think that is what you are saying is already possible...correct?

    Thanks,

      Hello Rick,
What Germinal is saying that is possible is that once the affiliate and referral have a Joomla account, set an Affiliate account for the affiliate so a link is provided to him that can be given to other users in order to track the activity.

yes, if they both have an account, you (the admin) can manually add conversions in the backend, linking affiliate and referred user.

Hi. And what about the possibility to link the affiliate user (already registered on the site without the url of affiliate) to the referral user?
Admin can create this relation on backend manually? What's the workaround about this scenario?
    Best regards

Hi, what happen if admin create the relationship between user and affiliate manually on backend after user purchased something? AT will calculate the commissions by considering what he purchased already or only the future he will do?
    Thanks
