Not possible to add songs

0
My collection is working so far, besides two issues, that I could not resolve:

1. When I want to add songs via Discogs, it works. But not all Albums, that I own, are available on Discogs. Thus, from time to time, I will have to add songs manually. When I try to do so, after saving, a white page appears and going back in browser history, nothing is saved.

2. If a song has an apostrophe in it`s filename (like in don't or rock 'n' roll), the song will not be played. Manually deleting the apostrophe from the filename let me play the song. This only happens, when I try to play the song within Musicol, directly from the server it works.

    thanks.

the problem is the folder /components/com_muscol/libraries/getid3

can you check that this folder exists and the folder name is lowercase? (getid3, not GETID3)
if it is, please delete it and just reinstall music collection, it should be fine.

    thanks!

In the path mentioned I have a folder getID3 (yes, first lowercase, then uppercase) and in that folder a folder getid3. Which one should I delete?

there should only be one folder with the name all in lowercase.

    leave "getid3", delete "getID3"

But that folder, that you mention to delete is in the folder named "getID3", so if I delete "getID3", the other one will be deleted too.

ok, try this: change the name of getid3 to getid32, then delete the other one (getID3), and then rename getid32 to getid3 again

Sorry, but I don`t get it. How can I delete a folder, that has other folders inside, without deleting exactly also these folders inside. My folder structure in that place is:

    - getID3 (main folder) <---- if I delete this one, I will delete the subfolders, too
    - demos (subfolder)
    - getid3 (subfolder)
    - helperapps (subfolder)
    - licenses (subfolder)
    - ...... some other files

see screenshot from FTP client (Filezilla)

Maybe i didnt explain ok.. Its very very simple. Just fename the main folder to be lowercase. That's all. Forget about subfolders. Just the main folder, it is getID3, it should be getid3. That's all.
