I installed the jw player module as well.
I then put it on my home page on the left side.
It does not show anything just the show player in pop up message as you can see in screencap link below

the player needs to have songs added to it, in order to be "populated". the showalbum plugin you mention is to show an ALBUM, not player (inside an article)
have you installed that plugin and enabled it?

But how do I save a playlist?
Edit: I found this, its off the playlist menu item you have to save set list as current first.
However the icons dissapear here too after I mouseover them once

To save or store a playlist so the user can have acces to it on the future (if the admin has given permision to do so), all you have to do is click on "Consolidate playlist" button (). The playlist will be saved with a provisional name (indicating the date and time of its creation).

I do not see the "Consolidate playlist" button and where would I give permissions?

When I out my mouseover they dissappear?

The showalbum plugin is installed and I have albums.

We are going to need to change some of these words for our site.
For example Album would become Project, Artist would become Talent, Song would become Voice over.

the icons not showing (only on mouse over) is probably due to some CSS setting of your template.

to change words, you have to do it in the language file, located in /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_muscol.ini

I have arranged a couple issues with the template's CSS causing the icons problem. should be ok no.

to change the words, go to the file I indicated before: /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_muscol.ini

again, the showalbum plugin simply shows an album's info. it does NOT allow playback. I can't see this plugin in the homepage tho. where is it? or where is it supposed to be?

others are not showing the proper icon but are working

yes I check it.
in my browser I see the right characters... which browser are you using? if you try Chrome, does it look ok? (it does for me)

Thank you I see them in explorer browser so likely my FFox cached needs erasing.
I noticed when I mouse over the plus icon it does not show me the info message "add to current playlist" anymore.

Yes I can confirm they show both the odd character and the icon in Ffox browser

I can access this page (the root), but what I'm saying is that in the other page you pointed to me, there is not any album! it's not an album page.
can you just navigate to that album page you showed me the screenshot of, and send me the link?

if you go to almost any of the music collection pages you will see the icons are not working

To remove the jwplayer logo from the player I asked them and they said I need to purchase a license each and every year for $149 USD to use their player.
They said because their product is a SAAS not a component or module.
This is quite expensive.

Is there any other player that will do and integrate with MC and show in a player module like JWplayer or our we fixed to this product?

I have a wimpy player paid for and it has quite a bit of integration but not sure how to integrate it with MC.

Sorry, there's no such option, not at the moment. The only version we are allowed to distribute is the free version (logically)
Creating a custom plugin for that particular player would cost you more than the jwplayer liscense, for sure... however I'm not even sure that this player would support all needed methods for our player system to work...
