Hi, i've uploaded 3 albums for test purposes and i was only being able to play one particular album on the iPhone / iPad and this was driving me nuts.

After some testing i realised that the album which played fine had none latin characters as opposed to the other two.

I don't know if the problem is the file name, the ID3 Tag, the album name etc.

Can you confirm any limitation of the player or some tweak to make this work with latin chars on ios devices?

The majority of our songs use latin chars so this is most important for us.

Thanks 4 Support

Miguel

Is there something to do about this?

Hi, i've uploaded 2 albums with no latin chars and then the same 2 albums with latin chars. They are identified by cover.

You can see the 4 albums on the front page at https://allkizomba.com/en/

all albums play on desktop and android. Only Non latin chars play in iOS.

I noticed that AAC files work with latin chars so i'm switching to that.

Update, the statement above is wrong. Files with latin chars still don't work on iOS.

The difference to mp3 files and what led me to think the problem was solved is that with mp3 album with latin chars, ALL files will not play even if those particular files don't have latin chars. With AAC, files that don't have latin chars will play, and the rest will not.

I can solve my problem with a mac app called Export for iTunes where i can export files with ASCII enconding and it substitutes all latin chars.
