Blurry Thumbnails

As seen in the attached screenshots, the thumbnails are rendered blurry. Looking for any suggestions you may have in correcting the issue. Looked in forum for any similar posts in regards to this, with no luck.

I am using:
- Joomla 3.6.5
- Music Collection 3.0.5

- Screenshot 1 & 2 show how the thumbnails appear with Dynamic mode and cache enabled.
- Screenshoy 3 & 4 show how the thumbnails appear in Static mode (with the thumbnails rendering ok on the album add page, but blurry image on artist preview page disappearing)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have in fixing this.

I have cleared multiple times with no change. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the component and plugins with no change.

I have also tried the default joomla templates, in case of a conflict. There was no change.

well, the problem seems to be simply that the thumbnails are not being saved into the /cache folder:
    for example:
    http://youmustbebored.com/cache/muscol/artists/muscol_cache_200_7e212f5105_chef.jpg

can you check if the folder is writtable?

for the most part, the problem is fixed. was a bad command in the htaccess that was causing the blurry thumbnails. the only issue it did not fix was the artist cover image resizing smaller when scrolling (as opposed to staying with fixed dimensions) would you have any clue where i may look to fix this? css? thanks again for you quick response in helping resolve these issues. great product!!

I've tried all that. I have also tried following all the steps you've mentioned here very carefully with no outcome.

    Please advise.

I notice that actually the thumbails are "ok". the problem is that is just black text over white background, and, when reduced, this doesn't show too good... that's all..

the only option I see is to increase the size of the thumbails (for example, 400px)... but unless you have a high resolution display you won't see the difference.

    Germinal,

Thank you for your valuable inputs.
I have changed the size to 500 now and guess what, they look quite better now.

For me this issue is solved, I would not mark this closed as the original person (Jim) who started should have that right.

    Best Regards,
    Syed H
