When music collection component is turned on whole site isn't working, or working very slow, and crashes down with message: "Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL". That thing started to happen one month a go and since than we can't use music coll correctly or use it at all. Please help. :(

    hello!

ok, that's not much.. I don't think that this is the problem.

I'm thinking that the problem may come from the statistics table in the database. if you had it enabled and never emptied, it may have grown very big, and maybe that's causing server issues.

all I can tell you is to check this table in the database (#__muscol_statistics), and check how many rows it has. if it has many entries (say.. above half million entries), I suggest you EMPTY the table.

if you need me to take a look at it then I need you to have a subscription..

    thanks!

It was 1.8 million entries. We'll see if that will solve the problem. Thank you for your help!

I don't know. I can't know. Ask your hosting provider, he may be able to know where this is coming from.
