I have a site that uses Hikashop which is up and running. My client has asked for a more detailed invoice layout with a TAX breakdown for products with and without Tax/VAT. Some of the products are supplied as packages. So for instance the books are zero rated but the storage box is vat rated @20%. This needs to be indicated on the invoice.

the invoice manager will import all taxes (item by item) into the invoice layout. so, if in Hikashop you have some items at 0% and others at 20%, this will be reflected in the item list in Invoice Manager, yes.

Thanks for the reply. I have attached a PDF of a layout I have created and this would be the sort of thing I would look to achieve. Is there an option to test the component on my own server as Hikashop is not installed on the demo you have created?

    Many thanks

    thanks,

the way the VAT is presented, if used not at a global level in the invoice, but in a "item by item" level in the invoice, is the way you can see in our demo.
even there is no hikashop installed in the demo, if you create an invoice and add items to it, you will see how you can define VAT independently in each item. that's the way it will be presented in the invoice. item by item (line by line)

    Thanks.

I would like the tax to show per line and also as a VAT total as part of the final calculation as per my attachment. Shipping is also taxable so again it would need to show on the invoice as a net cost £7.95 then £1.95 in this is instance under the tax column and as part of the total VAT. Is this achieveable?

Hopefully I am making sense. Sorry if I need to keep asking for clarification, I need to get this right for the clients project.

I understand, but no, in this case the VAT is shown at a "item" level but not "also in the total vat column".
to achieve this, some custom coding would be necessary that would allow to display the tax that way.

Will the new tax layout be compatible with HikaShop?

what you mean? can you explain with an example?

When importing from Hika Shop The discount applied in Hika Shop does not transfer directly into Invoice Manager
e.g. If cake a cost $10 - 10% in Hika Shop the item in Invoice Manger will be $9 and the discount coloum will be 0.00.

      I have more examples.
Some items in food are TAX inclusive some are not, this is clear in Hika Shop, when exporting the items into Invoice Manager the tax figure is not imported so a correct subtotal cannot be calculated, a total tax figure should always be included on any professional invoice. I am happy to help with my user experience but I am not a coder or programmer! If the was to import correctly from HikaShop you software would be good an useful when accounting.
