Invoice Manager for Shipping Quotes

0
I am using virtuemart for my ecom and my client has a special case where their products shipped efficiently when using custom freight quotes manually generated by the admin.

I am currently capturing the order with 0$ transacted by using a 0$ shipping option and a 0$ payment option. I would like to be able to follow up with the customer and present them with the complete invoice including custom shipping plus the actual order. What attracted me to your product was the ability to have pay buttons embedded right into the invoice.

Does this product integrate with virtuemart to that degree?

our product integrates with VirtueMart, yes, but maybe not to that degree.

I mean, you can create invoices, including items from virtuemart.
you can also automatically generate invoices when new orders are placed or created in virtuemart (that's how people usually use it).
in your case, looks like you want some sort of combination between manual and automatic. is that correct?

    Thanks for your reply

So the process we want is as follows:

1 Customer chooses products, selects shipping option called "Send me a custom freight quote" 0$ and selects a payment option called "Waiting for custom freight quote"

2 Admin gets custom freight quote, attaches it to invoice and sends to shopper.

3 Shopper pays invoice with a botton on invoice that links to paypal gateway

    4 Admin ships product

So I need the component to be able to take an existing invoice and add a shipping charge to it and send it to customer for payment

    What are your thoughts?

    Thank you

well, my thoughts is that you can already do this with Invoice Manager.

basically, you set invoice manager to generate the invoice when the order is on "Waiting for custom freight quote" status.
then, the admin just edits the invoice and adds the price of the custom freight, when he has it, and sets the total price of the invoice, and sends it to the user. the user will be able it through PayPal.

If I understood correctly, then you can use Invoice Manager the way it is (no modification needed) for your purpose.
