A few questions before i commit

0
I actually already have a subscription but it expires in about a month. Yet to use the invoicing because the product launch was delayed so I guess I have wasted the subscription. No matter. Account is under the name Matt Baxter.

I have a feeling my former developer may have gotten into the code and screwed with a few things. I have tried to delete the program and reinstall but the problems persist.

No matter what I do I am unable to modify the invoice template. I just seems to ignore my changes which is very strange. I will try to create a new invoice template and that might be the solution to this one.

The URL for payments is screwy as you can see here http/conferencemonitor.com.au/development/index.php?option=com_invoices&view=payment&id=35

A question with recurring invoices. I am using this to manage a subscription so I would need the next invoice date to be exactly 12 months after the current invoice date but I would need the invoice to be send to the user automatically 11 months after the current date. So they get 1 months notice of the end of their subscription.

Originally I spoke to you about getting a custom api for the gateway my company uses for other publications. You said it was possible and I just wanted to confirm that before moving forward with the renewal of the subscription. This could be a deal breaker.

    Hello Matt,

the notification 1 month before the actual date of the renewal is not directly possible. You can select to send email on invoice recurring, but it will be on the same time, not before.. that would require custom coding...

Sorry I don't specifically remember the conversation about the API for your gateway. I guess I said it was technically possible, but meaning that coding would be required (it's not natively compatible, logically..)

No worries regarding the notification before the invoice due date but perhaps keep it in the back of your mind for a future build as there would be plenty of customers running a subscription model and automating the sending of invoices well before the invoice date is important.

Our other CRM does it six weeks before the invoice date and sends a reminder every two weeks with varying messages with increased urgency as it gets closer to the invoice date. But the rest of it sux.

Another feature to think about is to tie the user type to the invoice so if the user does not pay the invoice by a certain date, then the joomla user category would change to a 'non-paid' user type and they no longer get subscriber content.

Regarding the payment gateway I have a solution for that as I am going to use Authorize.Net as they have an office in Australia.

If I use that gateway that might that fix the problem I have with the link on the invoice being a bit screwy? Notice the start of the URL is wrong - http/conferencemonitor.com.au/development/index.php?option=com_invoices&view=payment&id=35

The only other problem is that inability to modify the template. This problem has me stumped. I go in an edit the invoice I created and it accepts the changes yet when I produce a test invoice using that just saved invoice it shows the previous version.

Yes we will keep that in mind definitely.

The screwy URL for payment is really strange. it's missing the correct "http://" part. where does this appear? in the invoice button?

about the template modification.. it's very weird what you describe. any chance you could grant me access so I can take a look?

Yep sure thing. Joomla and Cpanel ?
Will have it for you in a jiffy.
All a bit strange. I think my original site developer may have messed with it but I thought removing and reinstalling (and upgrading) would have got rid of his tampering.

    Hi there,
I know this was last year, but the functionality stated by Mr. Baxter is very important to us because creating the invoices recurrently is only half the job. We need a system that will also send out reminders, before the invoice is due.
We are about to purchase the Invoice Manager, Expense Manager and Content Statistics extensions, and need to know if this functionality is in the latest version of Invoice Manager?

Hello! At the moment it's not there yet, no. We are working on a new version with many improvements, however the reminders you mention have not been added for the moment.

Thanks for the instant reply Germinal! We just paid for the 3, with faith. Hoping the new versions containing this very vital aspect will be within this subscription year for us. Thanks again.
