I am trying to bill customers in USD and in CAD. I am not sure how to set it up so that I can bill the customers in the US in USD and the customers in Canada in CAD. Does Invoice Manager Support that?

Frank,

As far as I can see, you are doing this test with invoice number 6.

this invoice has a payment in it, with value 0 USD!!

I mentioned this before. Please make sure the payment has the right amount.

For example: I tried with the invoice num 31: all works great. Because the payment has the correct amount

on invoice 6, there is a payment, yes, but it's value is 0.

Looks like you're not paying attention to the PAYMENTS tab, when editing the invoice on the backend.

Please check that

you can define the currency symbol independantly in each invoice.

When creating/editing the invoice, just go to the DETAILS tab.

Is there a way to have paypal handle the currency? It seems that it automatically loads the default paypal Currency from the Paypal plugin. Even though I have multiple currencies enabled on my paypal account. Is there a way to add a currency exchange? please advise.

oh, sorry. The paypal plugin takes the currency from its configuration, not from the invoice itself.
we would need some coding on the plugin to allow to import the currency into paypal too..

Okay... so is it possible? Love the plugin, but wont be able to use it if id either doesn't do an exchange to account for foreign currencies or allow the other currency to be paid for to paypal. Let me know if it is something I can do... or if you have to do it.

we would have to do it, because this requires coding on the plugin. Currency exchange is not necessary, just to import the currency of the invoice into the paypal plugin.

Okay.... So I Just spent $200CDN on this component. Should I get a refund until it is done? How long will it take? The component is not going to work for me without this. Please advise.

    hello

no, you don't need to do that. if you can send me access credentials to your site, I'll perform the code trick myself on the plugin.

    Hi There,

How are we looking on this? I am going to create all my customers (70 of them) and start in creating the invoices. I assume this component will work. Please advise if it will not prior to me doing all this work.

    Regards,

    Frank Konig

    Hi Germinal,

sorry to keep bugging you and I know you are probably really busy. I am too. I don't want to be that guy, but I have to. I am waiting to invoice 70 customers and it is a bit worrisome. Can you please update me on your progress?

    Thank You.

    thanks!!

    Dear Frank,

I have made the necessary change. Now, the PayPal plugin will take the currency from the invoice as requested.

    Please, go ahead and test.

Okay... something is not working right... I have 2 invoices for Mackendra Konig - linked to joomla User - guywahjohnson. 2 x invoices for $750 CAD and 1 x invoices for $1580 USD. when my customer logs in and views their account... it shows 1 x invoice $0.00 1 x invoice $1580CAD and 1 X invoice $1580 USD.

When I click pay... the currencies correspond... but there seems to be some invoice cross overs. I have included the PNGs but you can run a test if you like.

Thanks for your help on this.

    Regards,

    Frank

Create Invoice #2. 1 item- $1580 USD. again... everything looks good on back end. So far soooo good. from the frontend user page... view invoice online for CAD - looks good. click pay now - select - Paypal. Get paypal cart... AWESOME... Exactly what I want. Thank you. NOW..... Click View USD invoice. items look good - but... 0.00 in pay now. different checkout type... completely different end user experience.

Okay.... after spending some time trying to better understand... I think I have figured it out... In all of my CAD invoices, for whatever reason, my payments were automatically populating. for the USD invoices, this was not happening... so I have to make sure this being done, and in some cases, manually add a payment. Then it will show up in the end user account page. Understood. Thank you for helping me with this. I tested 2 invoices and they appear to be working fine. Thank you.

One more Question... Once the invoice has been paid, should it automatically be changed in the dashboard, or is it something that needs to be done manually?

    Thank you.

    HI,

Yes, we will add this (soon) to the official package.

Frank: if the invoice status is "blank", then once its paid, the status will be automatically recalculated. However if it's "permanently set" to any status, it won't change unless you change it manually.
