Extreme slow down of backend

0
Hi
I bought Content Statistic today and installed it, but now I can hardly work anymore in the backend anymore because it extremely slows down my site.
I uninstalled/unpublished everything I can from your software but still then every action takes about 5 times more time than before.
Please let me know what can be done against that, otherwise I'd like to have my money back. Euro 79.-- is a very high price ao I really hope to get this running without slowing down my saystem that much.
thanks
Chris

    Dear Chris,

This really sounds weird... for two reasons:

1- Content Statistics should not slow down the site at all... only if you're running it for a long time, and say, it has recorded a few hundred thousands or millions of entries, and you're using lots of graphics on it, then maybe it could slow down (just a bit!) the site. and that would be easy to solve by clearing "old" entries... in any case this is clearly not your scenario

2- IF for whatever reason it really was CS causing this behavior in your site, then uninstalling it would get the site "back to normal". If there's no CS, it can't be slowing down.. because it's not there.. Since you mention that you uninstalling everything, and the site is still slow... it can't be it.

In any case this is of course not normal behavior at all. Did you install anything else besides Content Statistics recently in your site?

If you want, please send me joomla access at support@ joomlathat.com and I'll be glad to take a look at it and see what could be causing this.

    Best,

    Hi Germinal

OK thanks, so there may be hope, would really be bad if I could not use the tool since I like the functionality.

Have sent you this message by mail as well inclucing backend login

    1) There is not much stuff logged yet
    2) I did not explain correctly, I meant that I uninstalled all plugins that I don’t need. Easiest to test the slowing down is the CS Joomla content tracking, if plugin is disabled all is fine. But as soon as I enable it and f.e. open the article “Locations” and unpublish it from inside of the opened article and then try to save and close, it’s like it’s stuck there. I have to do F5 otherwise it's stuck forever, looking a bit like an Ajax problem, do you use Ajax?

    - Modules-plugin: does this only track installation of modules or also editing it?
    - Plugins-plugin: does this only track installation of plugins or also changes on config of plugins?

Important: do not enable "Track Login backend"-plugin, otherwise it's always impossible to log in!

Backend login: see my mail (sent by christian.schmid (at) brandzeichen.ch)

    Thanks,
    Chris
